taste
There are many books available on how to create music, write, cook, and photograph. They won’t help you create better until you taste, appreciate and enjoy what you are creating.
You don’t need to think your dish is great if others don’t agree.
This is why so many typefaces are so poorly designed, so many self-published books appear the way they do, and so many restaurants only good. Long-tail music can be easily forgotten and skipped.
Two steps are required to get started:
Please show us a sample of work by someone else that you think is excellent. A book cover that is professional and inspiring, a jazz riff, or a memorable pasta dish.
Make a copy of it. Make sure it rhymes.
It’s not about technique if you don’t achieve that. It’s all about being in tune with the people you want to engage with.
