A few friends have moved on, and there was a cake that said, “We’ll miss your presence.”
It might have been more accurate to say “You’ll be missing us,”
Because the community of neighbors and friends is what most people miss. The community is there even if someone moves on.
Marketers serve communities by creating the conditions that they would not be missed. The ideas, products, and services they bring to the community are valuable, not just tolerated.
This is a worthy goal.
