spread Resistance
Steve Pressfield defines resistance as inertia and stories we create to avoid doing powerful or creative work.
Resistance can be manifested as writer’s block or procrastination. It may also appear as overconfidence, or the belief that talent is not being delivered.
It helps to know that it’s a thing. It won’t go away, but we can use it to guide us.
Resistance has become a norm in the culture over the past few years. Resistance has been amplified by ennui, eco-anxiety and marketplace exhaustion, as well as justified frustration over caste systems and injustice. It’s easier just to chill out now that culture and technology have hit a dead end.
This is a distraction from our journey, and serves to protect the status quo.
The past shows that this is the time to be inspired. Imagine something better, ship work that is meaningful, and lead.
