- Deny that there is a problem. Distract from the discussion, minimize it, fabricate data, make people look like hypocrites and highlight the convenient and consistent elements of the current system.
- It’s too late now to fix the problem.
Both are false, neither is helpful nor generous. Both occur all the time. When you see something, call it out.
