I confess that I don’t do it often.
In fact, it is easier to recall questions than answers. Google Docs, photos in the cloud and other tools allow us to create our own search engine.
InDesign takes 14 steps to create a page. I always forget some steps when I go back to the file a few weeks later. I created a Google Doc with a 1-page guide, complete with screenshots and links, that I can refer to whenever I want.
Take a photo of the instruction manual when you buy a new electronic gadget.
Take a video when a professional shows you how to do a task, label it, and store it on the cloud.
Take photos of all your IDs, credit cards and other important documents.
If you are having a great day, take a walk. Record a 10-minute audio that shares your optimism, self-confidence, and possibilities. You will want to listen again.
Put it on your calendar when a new recurring event occurs. You will not have to remind yourself every month about the dog medication.
