You would never tolerate it if the person responsible for maintaining your office sprayed a lot of water on the sidewalk just before temperatures dropped below freezing. You’d change accountants if the people who did your taxes just made up numbers they thought made sense.

How can we trust a company to build a fridge if they can’t even get this system right?

Online security is a subject that has been thought about in many ways. You embarrass your organization when you harass customers into silly behavior like this. It’s easier than ever to identify and correct stupidity.

Twenty years ago I complained about forms with pull-down menus for US citizens asking them to select which state they reside in. Andorra was the first country on the list, but two of the largest ecommerce nations in the world were at the bottom. This is not a technical issue. This is simply because someone made a template for this at the end the last century and it was easier to just go along.

It’s time to get the boss on board with understanding AI.
